Refugee Affairs Departmen on U.N. Insufficiency

The Secretary-General’s invocation of Article 99 of the UN Charter will clash with the American veto in the Security Council.

The Popular Front’s Refugee Affairs Department calls on UNRWA to open more distribution centers in Rafah.

The Refugee Affairs Department of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine called on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to open more relief and food distribution centers to cover all areas of the Rafah governorate amidst the large overcrowding of displaced persons and the very catastrophic and unprecedented conditions facing the governorate.

The Department stressed that since the beginning of the aggression, UNRWA’s management has contributed to exacerbating the suffering of our people when it abandoned its responsibilities, leading to subsequent confusion in its operations. This necessitates urgent and swift actions to ensure the delivery of aid to all our people and displaced persons, not limited to flour and food, but including medicine, baby milk, and all forms of support for the resilience of the displaced and ensuring its access to everyone, not only in the Rafah governorate but also in the provinces of the strip, especially the Northern, Gaza, and Central provinces, which have been under siege and a starvation war for several days.

The Department considered that the step of the UN Secretary-General’s warning of invoking Article 99 of the UN Charter, despite its importance, is not effective and will clash with an American veto in the Security Council. Therefore, the United Nations is required to adopt clear and pressing resolutions against the occupation to stop the aggression and enforce the urgent entry of aid into the strip through a clear and binding UN resolution.

Central Media Department on Aggression Against the West Bank

The occupation’s crime in Al-Fara’a Camp will not pass without accountability, and the resistance’s response is inevitably coming.

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine confirmed that the escalation of the occupation’s crimes in the West Bank, the latest of which was the massacre committed in Al-Fara’a Camp in the northeast of the occupied West Bank, resulting in the martyrdom of 6 and the injury of others, is a zionist attempt to exploit international preoccupation with what is happening in Gaza to implement its colonial plans in the West Bank.

The Front considered that the continuation of the occupation in raiding cities and camps in the West Bank, the policy of killing and assassinations, arming settler mobs, legitimizing kill orders for them, and allowing them to invade and desecrate Al-Aqsa Mosque’s courtyards, indicates the occupation’s intention to escalate more in the West Bank, to cover up its significant losses in the Gaza Strip, and to attempt to end the entrenched resistance in the West Bank, and to continue the plans of accelerating settlement and seizing more lands to pounce on the Palestinian presence there.

The Front concluded its statement by affirming that the blood of the martyrs of Al-Fara’a Camp, Gaza, and all the martyrs of our people will not be in vain, and will not pass without accountability; the resistance has always taught us that its response is never delayed and is inevitably coming.
