The following two statements, originally in Arabic, were published by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine on January 5, 2024 via telegram. In these, the Front addressed their view of the role of legal prosecution, and responded to the occupation’s stated plans to continue denying Palestinian sovereignty. English translations were made available by Resistance News Network.
Encouragement of Legal Action
Legal pursuit of the occupation is a necessary duty and a path that Arab countries should contribute to.
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement emphasizing the importance of efforts to prosecute the zionist entity and its war criminals among its leaders in international courts according to their jurisdictions.
The Front saluted South Africa, as well as the partner and supporting countries, for the complaint they submitted to the International Court of Justice against the zionist entity and the genocide it is waging on the Gaza Strip.
The Front called on Arab countries to play their role and fulfill their duties in prosecuting the entity and its leaders, internationally isolating it, and imposing boycotts and sanctions on it, especially those countries targeted by the occupier with aggression plans and projects to displace Palestinians to them.
The Front stated that the international community and the global system, with its various institutions, have proven their moral downfall in dealing with the genocidal war our people are being subjected to, and that the zionist entity has enjoyed full cover and support to continue committing massacres against our people in Gaza.
The Front considered legal efforts an important pillar in the battle with the occupation, alongside all other forms of resistance, while also calling for the escalation of popular struggle in all its forms against the occupation and its supporters, as well as for the elevation of the official and popular Arab stance to the level of the existential challenge faced by our people and nation.

🔻الملاحقة القانونية للاحتلال واجب ضروري ومسار على الدول العربية الإسهام فيه

أصدرت الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين بياناً أكدت فيه على أهمية الجهود المبذولة لملاحقة الكيان الصهيوني ومجرمي الحرب من قادته أمام المحاكم الدولية حسب اختصاصاتها.
وتوجهت الجبهة بالتحية لدولة جنوب أفريقيا والدول الشريكة والداعمة للشكوى التي تقدمت بها أمام محكمة العدل الدولية ضد الكيان الصهيوني وحرب الإبادة التي يشنها على قطاع غزة.
ودعت الجبهة، الدول العربية للقيام بدورها وواجباتها فيما يتعلق بمحاكمة الكيان وقادته، وعزله دولياً وفرض المقاطعة والعقوبات عليه، خصوصاً تلك الدول التي يستهدفها المحتل بمخططات العدوان، و بمشاريع تهجير الفلسطينيين إليها.
وقالت الجبهة إن المجتمع الدولي والنظام العالمي بمؤسساته المختلفة قد أثبت سقوطه الأخلاقي في تعامله مع حرب الإبادة التي يتعرض لها شعبنا، وأن الكيان الصهيوني حظي بغطاء ودعم كامل لمواصلة ارتكاب المذابح بحق أهلنا في غزة.
واعتبرت الجبهة أن الجهود القانونية ركن مهم في المعركة مع الاحتلال، بجانب كل أشكال المقاومة الأخرى، داعية في الوقت ذاته لتصعيد النضال الشعبي بكل أشكاله ضد الاحتلال وداعميه، وكذلك لارتقاء الموقف العربي الرسمي والشعبي لمستوى التحدي المصيري الذي يواجهه شعبنا وأمتنا.

A Colonial Future Not Acceptable
“The Day After” the aggression is a day of the enemy’s defeat and retreat.
The enemy Minister of War’s statements about their government’s plans to continuously control the Gaza Strip are pure illusions. The day after the war will be a day of defeat and complete withdrawal of the aggression and a day of victory for the resistance.
The enemy’s leadership’s statements about forming local committees subservient to the occupation, and an international administration overseeing Gaza in partnership with the occupation, are nothing but a cover for continuation of the war. The enemy knows well that its goals are impossible to achieve.
The enemy should be well aware that “the day after” the war will be a day of collapse and defeat for the occupation and victory for the resistance. The soldiers of its army will find nothing in Gaza but death at the hands of its resistance, which will not be extinguished no matter how long the war and the aggression continue. No Palestinian party will cooperate with these projects, but it seems that the enemy has forgotten the defeat of its previous Village Associations project and similar schemes.
The enemy escalated its brutal attack during the last few days to a peak surpassing any previous period of the war, coinciding with the presentation of these goals, hoping that its allies and supporters of the aggression or mediators would offer them as a price for stopping its massacres against children, women, and hospitals in Gaza.
The Front warns any international or regional parties against any involvement in such projects. Any presence in Gaza under the occupation’s umbrella will be met only with bullets and fire.
The illusions of the enemy’s leaders will inevitably fall in the face of our people’s steadfastness, who have united in their complete rejection of all these projects and their brave readiness to resist them. This unity must evolve and be translated into a unified national struggle structure, leading our people’s struggle to defeat the occupation and end its cancerous project on the land of Palestine.

الجبهة الشعبيّة: “اليوم التالي” للعدوان هو يوم اندحار العدو وهزيمته
أكدت الجبهة الشعبية لتحرير فلسطين أن تصريحات وزير حرب العدو حول خطط حكومته للسيطرة أمنياً على قطاع غزة بشكل مستمر، محض أوهام، وأن اليوم التالي للحرب هو يوم الهزيمة والانسحاب الكامل للعدوان ويوم انتصار المقاومة.
وشددت الجبهة أن تصريحات قيادة العدو حول تشكيل لجان محلية عميلة للاحتلال، وإدارة دولية تشرف على قطاع غزة بشراكة من الاحتلال، ما هي إلا غطاء لاستمرار الحرب لأن العدو يعلم جيداً أن أهدافه مستحيلة التحقيق.
وقالت الجبهة، على العدو أن يعلم جيداً أن “اليوم التالي” للحرب هو يوم اندحار وهزيمة الاحتلال وانتصار المقاومة، وأن جنود جيشه لن يجدوا في غزة إلا الموت على يد مقاومتها التي لن تنطفئ مهما استمرت الحرب ومهما توحش العدوان، وأنه لن يجد أي جهة فلسطينية تتعاون مع مشاريعه هذه ولكن يبدو أنه نسى هزيمة مشروع روابط القرى سابقاً وسائر مشاريعه الشبيهة.
وأكدت الجبهة أن العدو صعد هجومه الوحشي خلال الأيام الأخيرة لذروة تفوق أي فترة سابقة من الحرب، تزامناً مع طرحه هذه الأهداف، آملاً أن يقدمها له حلفائه وداعمي العدوان أو الوسطاء كثمن لوقف مجازره ضد الأطفال والنساء والمستشفيات في قطاع غزة.
وحذرت الجبهة أي جهات دولية أو إقليمية، من أي تورط في مثل هذه المشاريع، فلن يقابل أي تواجد على أرض غزة تحت مظلة الاحتلال إلا بالرصاص والنار.
واختتمت الجبهة أن أوهام قادة العدو، ستسقط حتماً، أمام صمود شعبنا، الذي بات موحداً بكل قواه في رفضه الكامل لكل هذه المشاريع واستعداده الشجاع لمقاومتها، وأن هذه الوحدة يجب أن تتطور وتترجم ببنية وطنية نضالية موحدة، تقود كفاح شعبنا وصولاً إلى هزيمة الاحتلال وانتهاء مشروعه السرطاني على أرض فلسطين.
