Their goal is genocide: the ultimate criminalization of the oppressed. We should expect military occupations spread across all major cities in the U.S. in the future.

On August 11, president Trump took direct control of the Washington D.C. police force after one of his staffers was allegedly assaulted by a group of teenagers. The capital of Babylon is now occupied with over 2,000 national guards, hundreds of federal agents, and the local pig force, who spend their days destroying unhoused people’s tents and kidnapping immigrants for Trump’s mass deportation program. On September 15, Trump launched a second, “replica” occupation in Memphis, Tennessee, with other cities like Chicago and Baltimore facing the same threat. What seemingly began as a show of force in response to a beatdown now appears to be a pre-planned mission to spread military occupation to more cities across the Empire.

At this point, we must take stock of the situation. We must ask ourselves what is going on, and we must be prepared to understand the motivations of the Trump regime in the context of an overall strategy that has been pursued by the ruling class for at least twenty years. In June of 2000, local US police departments had some 441,000 officers, according to the Bureau of Justice Statistics’ “Local Police Departments 2000.” As of 2024, there are now 808,700 local police officers across the US, according to a Bureau of Labor Statistics report. The growth of the domestic Phoenix Program (see the Clarion article, “State of Control”), “cop cities,” and the surge of police budgets ($65.7 billion in 2000, $176 billion in 2024 according to the US Bureau of Economic Analysis) indicates something is going on.

The federalization of law enforcement isn’t a one-off, and it’s not an accident. The domestic Phoenix Program was consolidated under Bush; Trump’s first term saw the widespread deployment of the National Guard to protect the regime from domestic rebellions in the wake of the murder of George Floyd. A draft of the newest National Defense Strategy “places domestic and regional missions above countering adversaries such as Beijing and Moscow,” according to Paul McLeary and Daniel Lippman at Politico.

The official targets of the D.C. occupation — ie those who are being arrested — are the undocumented immigrant population and young New Afrikan men. Nearly half of the arrested are immigrants lacking citizenship. For New Afrikans in D.C., the occupation is an intensification of the same criminalization they always experience from the white oppressor nation. Young Black men have been the most criminalized national sub-group in virtually every U.S. city since the partial victory of emancipation exchanged the New Afrikan experience from outright enslavement for Jim Crow Terror and genocidal mass incarceration. It starts with a pretextual stop over minor offenses which whites are rarely if ever stopped for. Traffic violations, alcohol containers, marijuana smoke: these are some of the crimes New Afrikans were arrested for during the August 2025 occupation. There is also the continuous criminalization of New Afrikan gun ownership: 1 in 4 of the arrests involving federal goons included gun charges.

By criminalizing entire blocks, the occupation targets the “minority” nations in the city as a collective. Thanks to the supreme court, ICE agents are now legally permitted to use “race” as a factor in detaining suspected immigrants. This was ICE practice since the agency’s inception, but discriminatory stops are now ratified by the highest court in the Empire.

Over 80% of D.C. residents are against the occupation; thousands are protesting, but marching in the street will not dissuade those with machine guns and a federal mandate. Heckling fascists with “Hanoi Hannah” audio (“your government lies to you, GI”) will not convince them to drop the gun when there is no militant movement to back it up.

The federal occupation of major US cities is a stress test for future deployments. The ruling clique in the capitalist class is intent on normalizing ever-escalating installations of occupying troops within the Black national territories and Black majority cities of the United States. We can only anticipate why: the eventual liquidation of the captive Black and Indigenous labor force and the pursuit of a “final solution” to the domestic danger to the ruling class these captive, subject nations represent.

Integration as a ruling class strategy in a white-dominated settler colony simply cannot survive economic downturns. Integration in the U.S. is a top-down process through which portions of the oppressed nations are brought into that segment of workers who gain the most material benefits from imperialism. This privileged class of workers is often referred to as the labor aristocracy. As a bloc, this group is more likely to align with imperial interests, against the interests of the global proletariat. However, long before there is a capitalist crisis brutal enough to shake white people out of their traditional class alliance, the labor aristocracy closes its ranks in protection of white class interests. Analyzing past recessions confirms this tendency; without exception, every economic “recovery” since WWII is defined by an increase in the employment gap between “minority” and white workers.1

Rather than uplifting the oppressed nations as a whole into the labor aristocracy, integration promotes a few lucky individuals while placing more and more “minorities” outside the labor pool. The Empire’s own unemployment statistics are a severe underestimation of “minority” unemployment; they have been cooking the books since at least the 1980s. Their unemployment statistics do not account for those on public assistance or those in prison. Thus, the unemployment gap between “minorities” and whites is even larger than they are willing to admit.

As communists, we recognize the intrinsic cycle of capitalist growth and crisis. Growth periods increase wealth disparities, concentrating capital into fewer and fewer hands, while crisis periods throw ever more people out of the labor pool. But there is something different about the next impending capitalist crisis in the west. Since WWII, or even WWI, the U.S. has been the dominating imperialist power; two World Wars, and especially the decades after WWII, captured unprecedented degrees of market and military dominance for the U.S. empire. While this wealth is not distributed equally, it does have an effect of ideologically connecting the oppressed internal nations with their oppressors. Yes, even “minorities” in the U.S. benefit from imperialism to a significant degree. Comparing “minority” wages in the Empire to wages from the “third world” confirms at least a short-term shared interest in imperialism. But there are limitations and exceptions to this generalized idea. For example, the material conditions on many Indigenous reservations are worse than in some areas of the periphery. Settler Communists should focus on strategies that can provide a support role to liberation movements originating from oppressed pockets, which are also present in the agricultural fields and the occupied inner cities.

The factor that separates the coming recession is the same one that influenced the 2025 National Defense Strategy: the U.S.’ grip over worldwide imperialism is losing strength. The aircraft carriers and bombers are not as effective as 20-30 years ago. They will continue to murder millions of people, but the oppressed nations now have countermeasures of their own. “A $1,000 dollar drone can take out a $100 million dollar jet.” This could be a positive development for the Eastern hemisphere, but a violent development for Latin America and the oppressed internal nations in the U.S. Empire. At the time of this writing, the U.S. military is staring down Venezuela in the Caribbean, threatening an imperialist invasion to secure the largest oil reserves in the world. The occupied nation of Puerto Rico serves as their forward operating base, reducing the island and its inhabitants into an unsinkable aircraft carrier.

Their goal is genocide: the ultimate criminalization of the oppressed. It is the last, downward step on the ladder into white supremacist Hell on Earth, defined by work-extermination camps overseen by demonic security forces. If genocide is the last qualitative stage, occupation and ethnic cleansing are the precedents. To be clear, these processes of white supremacy have always been in motion to some degree since the arrival of white settlers on Turtle Island. The U.S. itself formed on the basis of genocide, brought into being over the bodies of the Indigenous Nations and the death-labor of slaves from Afrika. For New Afrikans, slavery gave way to ethnic cleansing. The slaves were “freed” by their northern white oppressors, only to be left exposed to the white supremacist Jim Crow Terror. What bourgeois history refers to as the “great migration” of New Afrikans from the south to northern cities was really ethnic cleansing through lynching and outright exclusion from the labor pool. Today, this ethnic cleansing has flipped on its head, with New Afrikans now being pushed out of the cities through gentrification. Trump’s occupation will only quicken the rate of this ethnic cleansing (dubbed the “great remigration”). How embarrassing it is that the major “communist” parties continue to prioritize “worker unity” in the face of open white supremacy.

We should expect military occupations to spread across all major cities in the U.S. over the coming months and years. Temporary deployments will give way to a permanent, localized occupation force in charge of brutalizing the “minority” nations. Two weeks into the D.C. occupation, Trump signed an executive order directing the pentagon to create a “rapid response” network of national guard to crush incipient uprisings in the cities. It is likely that the national guard will not be up to the task; they are committed to the Empire, but lack the ideological fervor to carry out the full white supremacist campaign. Instead, the mantle will pass to local white supremacist militias and those security forces showing commitment to the white supremacist project. This article makes use of several statistics and historical references; the conclusion of all of them is that national oppression is the principal contradiction on Turtle Island. National liberation of the oppressed internal nations is therefore the correct organizing line. Remember the perennial words of Comrade George Jackson when taking a peek at what the future will resemble:

“We must accept the eventuality of bringing the U.S.A. to its knees; accept the closing off of critical sections of the city with barbed wire, armored pig carriers crisscrossing the streets, soldiers everywhere, tommy guns pointed at stomach level, smoke curling black against the daylight sky, the smell of cordite, house-to-house searches, doors being kicked in, the commonness of death.”

Within our Lifetime! Organize, or lose.

Trump and his imperialist collaborators understand the reformist nature of South Afrika’s government, but still targets them because of its rejection of outright western colonial rule.

On May 12, 2025, a chartered plane carrying 59 white South Afrikan settlers landed in the U.S. These are Trump’s fake refugees: grandchildren of apartheid who seek to stake their claims in the U.S. where they can enjoy an undisturbed racial hierarchy and the global flea market1 — consumer goods subsidized by imperialism. Meanwhile, the admission of real refugees into the U.S. remains indefinitely suspended, leaving tens of thousands of our foreign policy victims in limbo, many of whom had their applications for residency approved. Just last week, Trump’s proposed travel ban included 36 countries — 25 of which are in Afrika. The ruling imperial class is once again choosing to demonize those in the Global South, either by banning them from entering the country or by subjecting them to ICE raids.

However, white supremacists face an immediate contradiction due to the essential role of undocumented labor in the U.S. Some capitalists have already begun to beg the president to scale down the raids, complaining that ICE is taking all their best workers and hurting their profit margins. Every fascist accusation against the Global South is an admission2, whether directed at Black people in South Afrika for “white genocide” or undocumented people in the imperial core for bringing violence to a society that seeks to exploit and assault them.

30 years after apartheid, the 7% minority of white settlers continue to occupy 72% of South Afrika’s farmland. Legalistic mechanisms for land reforms have failed to address the problem; only 9% of the land has been returned to the Black people it was stolen from. Before it can return land, the government needs to provide compensation to the white settler. In other words, the law requires the government to pay thieves to return stolen land. Black South Afrikans can’t get their land back because doing so would bankrupt the country. The result? In 2025, South Afrika has the highest wealth inequality of any country in the world. The average Black household owns 5% of the wealth of the average white household. These statistics alone explain why South Afrikan white lobbying groups — who project false claims of supposed “racial persecution” throughout the world — have spoken out against relocation to the U.S. Relocating white settlers would only hamper domestic settler efforts towards retaking full political power and overturning the basic legal rights won by the Black majority in 1994. One white pensioner spelled the situation out clearly: “If you haven’t got any problems here, why would you want to go?”

Trump’s relocation of white settlers appears to be part of a larger U.S. attack on South Afrika’s government. In 2024, President Cyril Ramaphosa enacted the “Land Expropriation Act” — essentially an eminent domain law which allows the government to repurpose private land for the public benefit. According to the law, land can only be expropriated without compensation in limited scenarios, like when property is unused or abandoned. To this day, no land has been seized in South Africa without compensation. This is the law that Trump claims will cause “white genocide” in South Afrika. The U.S. had already cut off nearly all foreign aid to South Afrika back in February, throwing the country’s healthcare system into a new crisis overnight.

Although Trump and his imperialist collaborators understand the reformist nature of South Afrika’s government, the country is still centered in the U.S.’ crosshairs because of its rejection of outright western colonial rule. South Afrika has been represented by the ANC (African National Congress) — the party of Nelson Mandela — since the end of apartheid. In all likelihood, the U.S. wants to remove the ANC from power and replace it with one of the more imperialist-friendly parties representing white interests. In its 30 years of rule, the ANC has built strong economic relationships with enemies of the U.S. such as China, Russia, and Iran. The South Afrikan lawsuit against so-called “israel” in the International Court of Justice — supposedly the highest court in the world — continues to isolate the zionist entity, which has lost sympathy even in the West. If the U.S. were to succeed in its regime change effort, they would replace the ANC with a party such as the Democratic Alliance. With its bedrock of white support, this party would be quick to submit to the U.S. by signing extortionist trade deals and dismissing the I.C.J. lawsuit. For Trump, the chance to bully an oppressed country like South Afrika while pandering to the white base at home was too convenient to pass up.

From within the U.S., we can see how the relocation fiasco is in perfect alignment with the current fascist playbook. The illusions of a multi-racial participatory society in a racist settler colony are dissipating in the face of an explicit preference for white immigration, especially those who show loyalty to the imperial project. I.C.E. agents and deputized local police are snatching undocumented people from their homes and workplaces. The most immediate hurdle to the new terror project lies in the capitalist class itself, who keenly appreciate the essential role of undocumented immigrants in the Amerikan economy. Capitalists in both meatpacking and agriculture economic sectors pleaded directly to Trump that the ICE raids are having a bad effect on business. By working the hardest jobs for the least pay, undocumented workers ensure that Amerikans have access to cheap produce while guaranteeing a steady profit for the capitalist. The class collaboration between these capitalists and Amerikans at large is essential to the arrangement. Without undocumented labor, the already small profit margins in agriculture and meatpacking would vanish, which would then trigger skyrocketing food costs. The takeaway from this is that there was already ample reason to be in the streets before the ICE raids began. Instead of waving the Amerikan flag like the recently-arrived South Afrikan settlers, protesters should agitate based on the general conditions of racial hierarchies in labor. Violent ICE raids will of course continue, although the business enterprises of certain capitalists will now be spared by the Trump regime. The federal and municipal pigs will continue to arrest grandparents, parents, and children.

While fascists balance the contradictions between their rhetoric and reality, they still agitate their base by attacking a sovereign nation with racist dog whistles. On June 2, 9 more settlers from South Afrika arrived in the U.S, and more will be on the way unless South Afrika bows under the pressure. We must never forget that Land Back is as desperately needed here on Turtle Island as it is in South Afrika. Amerikan fascists feign horror at Trump’s unsubstantiated claims of land repossession. Imagine their response to a real campaign for Land Back on what they consider to be their home territory.

Spend these summer months engaged in social investigation or engaged in study. USU and the All-Empire Workers’ League are here to join you in struggle with materials and assistance as we work on tangible projects in the real world. Whatever you do, don’t let the summer pass you by as white supremacists continue their push to convert the mass fascist state into its final, deadly form.

Free speech is dead. Did it ever exist in the first place?

Mahmoud Khalil, a recent graduate in Columbia’s Public Administration program, was arrested at his residence by ICE agents on Saturday, March 8. He has effectively been disappeared by the state; shipped to an immigration dungeon in Louisiana as far away as possible from his pregnant wife, legal defense team, and support networks. The regime is now attempting to deport Mahmoud, who came to the imperial core from Algeria, but is of Palestinian origin.

Mahmoud has not been charged with any listed offense; his crime is his support for the Palestinian national liberation movement. Mahmoud stood against the slaughter of his people and the ongoing theft of their homeland. The fascist Empire is committed to worldwide terror and the enslavement of humanity. The state would rather us remain silent, going about our cleaved lives apathetic to genocide — this is vile and unacceptable.

Free speech is dead. Did it ever exist in the first place?

Our free speech rights go about as deep as a puddle on the side of the road. The American Fourth Reich, aided by the skeletal Democratic party, has gutted what little was left of so-called “civil liberties” in this country. The U.S.’s liberal democracy was founded on the “rights” of only the white, slave-owning, and propertied classes, leaving everyone else, especially enslaved peoples, grasping for the shards of a deadened life.

Regardless of what the slave owners who founded this country may have intended when they wrote the Constitution in 1791, the settler-imperial government has never meaningfully valued free speech. Just seven years and one president later, the John Adams administration would pass the Alien and Sedition Acts: the Sedition laws criminalized any negative speech against the government, while the Alien Acts let the president deport any foreign nationals. Adams, who was a federalist, used the Sedition Acts to arrest journalists supporting his political opponents, the Democratic Republicans. The minute differences between Federalists and Democratic-Republicans are not terribly significant — (both supported the slavery of New Afrikans and the genocide of Indigenous Turtle Islanders) — suffice to say they were the two dominant tendencies of early USian politics. Adams lost the political battle; the Democratic Republicans won the next election and repealed the Sedition Acts. And the Alien Acts? They remain in effect to this day. The president may therefore deport any foreign national they consider to be dangerous, based on this 225 year old law. In essence, dystopian state repression is one of the hallmarks of liberal democracy.

The Alien and Sedition Acts would be the first major crackdown on free speech, but they are not the last, nor the most recent. The Democratic-Republicans had their own opportunity to silence mass dissent a few decades later when the abolition of slavery became a contentious issue. In 1836, an Andrew Jackson-controlled Congress ratified a gag order banning any mention of abolition in the halls of Congress.

In light of the modern national security state, first amendment rights are shallow. With state surveillance and a history of interference in liberation movements, an American citizen’s speech may be free, but only so long as their words remain barren and removed from action. The Black Panthers, the Puerto Rican independence movement, the American Indian Movement: when nationally oppressed groups peaceably assemble, we can see time and time again that the First Amendment often has a selective application. Perpetual surveillance, state assassinations; sharpened knives which they are ready to use against any defiant organization.

Before the regime will criminalize your collective expression, two circumstances must generally be met.

The expression must be dissent, i.e., it must go against the regime’s foreign or domestic policy.

The expression must be popular. The degree of popularity can vary, but generally, the dissenting speech or collective expression must be popular enough for the regime to consider it a threat to its rule or the implementation of its policy.

Popular dissent is forbidden.

If this clownish blockheaded President is trying to weaken free speech rights on campus, he is late to the party. Colleges and universities across the Empire beat him to the punch by launching a full scale offensive against the right to protest before the Fall 2024 semester. Protests now have formal time limits. They are banned in popular gathering spots. Fascism on the Amerikkkan campus is objectively bipartisan. Trump’s threat is a promise to build upon the groundwork that was laid last year. Do not be scared. For fear is your greatest enemy. Now, we’re all able to see clearly without the blinding, twisted distortions of Democrats who use identity essentialism as bait in order to duplicitously rally support for their graveyard of a party, and therefore gut the very undercarriage of revolutionary understanding and action of the mass of vexed workers.

Saturday’s attack on student resistance was orchestrated by the regime’s use of the word “terrorist;” it is, by all means, a propagandistic term in the modern U.S., the same way “communist” was in the past, and is in the present. The state of course uses the veneer of a mythical “antisemitism” to justify its draconian measures. Claims of a phantasmal antisemitism from the very same administration that goes around giving Nazi salutes. Remember, the Trumpian gendarmes are the very same ilk that said “Jews will not replace us.” The very same people whose base committed a massacre in a synagogue, now want to wage a “holy war,” which they pretend is for the very Jewish people they tried to mass murder.

However, we must recognize that we’re in the depths of a revolutionary moment. The inflection points of class war are nearing a breaking crescendo, and it is up to us in the anti-imperialist movement to understand this dialectic of intense struggle and form a clear and firm guide to action. Now is the time to unite with left and progressive forces (While not compromising the proven Marxists analysis) to defeat the fascist juggernaut. In the age of techno-imperialism and the mass slaughter of our people, we must do away with the muddled Trotskyist tendency of splintering into groups of 50 (that has historically gutted the left in this country) and form a temporary alliance to defeat the strangling repression of the Trump regime. We, the mass reserved army of labor must pick up the red banner and fight for the liberation of all those colonized, imprisoned, and hyper-exploited.

Cornelius Taylor. Say his name!

Cornelius Taylor is dead. He was killed on January 16 by the state in Atlanta, Georgia. Police stood guard as the city workers fatally crushed him with a frontloader during a raid on a group of people living in tents next to the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park. The pigs are, of course, lying; trying to cover up their participation in the killing by blaming it on an overdose, just like they did after they murdered George Floyd.

The timing and location reveal another layer of evil to the crime. Cornelius was sleeping across the street from Ebenezer Baptist Church, the same place where Martin Luther King Jr. was once co-pastor with his father. This church hosts a highly attended memorial service every MLK day, along with other events covering several blocks around MLK’s childhood home. With the federal holiday just four days away, city officials called for the area to be purged of the visibly poor in preparation for the events. They desired to display a pristine picture of urban life in the Capitalist metropolis — removed of its racialized homelessness, as if Martin Luther King Jr.’s neighborhood were an exhibit at Disneyland. In a city where New Afrikans are 47% of the total residents, 86% of the homeless are Black. This racial disparity among the homeless is even more telling on the All-Empire level (13% versus. 36.6%). “Gentrification,” deployed as a mode of ethnic cleansing; a modern buzzword for the mass displacement grinding in the background of each and every victory of the white worker.

Cornelius Taylor spent his last day on this Earth in a plastic tent on Old Wheat St in the King Historic District of Atlanta, just two blocks down from MLK’s childhood home. City workers arrived on January 16 in a frontloader with a metal bucket attachment, accompanied by Atlanta police officers. Neither worker nor pig bothered to check the tents; this was out of sheer laziness, yes, but also the active, ingrained dehumanization of people who cannot afford an apartment. We know what happened next because of the medical examiner’s report, which attributes Mr. Taylor’s cause of death to “blunt force trauma to the pelvis and abdomen.” The bastards ran him over with the state machine, essentially crushing his body in two. The tent, pavement, and other debris were soaked in Cornelius’ blood.

And the pigs who stood guard as Mr. Taylor was crushed? They have already tried to cover up their active role by submitting an incident report that implied Mr. Taylor died of a drug overdose, rather than the tons of force that had spilled the blood from his body.

The report of lies describes another homeless man waving the officer down to point them to what had just happened. The cop pulls Mr. Taylor’s paralyzed body out of the collapsed tent, but didn’t notice (read: chose not to report) the unconscionable injuries to his abdomen and torso, nor the pools of blood seen by all the other witnesses. All they included in the report was a “nose bleed” and “foam emitting” from Mr. Taylor’s mouth; that an “overdose” was suspected. Let us now dispel any possible lingering notions of good-faith in this report. It is a blatant lie; meant to muddy the waters, create doubt of the obvious, and most of all, shift blame away from the pig and onto the victim. Police think they can literally sweep Cornelius Taylor under the rug if they just assassinate his character as a “drug addict,” another maligned group that the pigs see as undeserving of shelter or life. In what can only be understood as an admission of guilt, police continue to delay release of the body cam footage in the “ongoing investigation.” This is nothing new. Body cams which support a pig’s claim get released immediately; those which contradict their lies are held in purgatory to quell the public’s outrage.

A service was held on February 3 for Mr. Taylor at Ebenezer Baptist Church, the same church where honorary services were held for Martin Luther King Jr. the week before. After the service, family members and activists led a silent march to city hall. They are demanding an end to encampment sweeps…

But a demand like this will do nothing to alleviate the daily state-enforced torture of the homeless. Just hours after the funeral, the Atlanta city council voted to change the methods used to carry out homeless displacements. They voted to stop using heavy equipment in their raids, as well as to bring back another useless “task force” on homelessness. It is now up to the mayor to ratify or veto the changes. No, begging the state for change will not stop the displacements, even if they are carried out with a shinier boot. It is a mistake to make preemptive concessions to the killers, it is a mistake to limit this movement by demanding mercy from the oppressor and their infantry of goons. Like bartering a sale in a market, the seller shouldn’t start from a price that’s lower than what they want.

Others in the city already understand this, if we are to believe anonymous sources who claim to have returned to the scene of the crime in the early morning of January 30. According to these sources, the frontloader was incinerated; a spontaneous outcry of people who want to start from the opposite of concessions.

The demand to stop encampment sweeps is a far cry from the vision of Martin Luther King Jr; a man who was assassinated for his efforts to upend the deep antagonists of capital and its tentacles of destruction squeezing the life out of Black and other oppressed communities. The night before his assassination, Martin Luther King Jr. delivered a speech titled I’ve Been to the Mountaintop to New Afrikan sanitation workers on strike in Memphis, Tennessee. These workers were striking for better working conditions after a malfunctioning truck crushed two fellow workers to death, like Cornelius Taylor. King told them, “We’ve got to give ourselves to this struggle until the end. Nothing would be more tragic than to stop at this point in Memphis.”

But tragedy did follow. Martin Luther King Jr. was murdered the very next day; 60 years later, their monopoly on violence causes the same “tragic accidents” which impoverish, brutalize, and crush New Afrikans beneath the state.

Martin Luther King Jr’s name was slandered by the state his entire career before modern attempts have tried to rob his legacy of all its anti-capitalist beliefs. They strangled George Floyd under a pig’s knee and blamed his death on an overdose. They mutilated Cornelius Taylor in a violent attack against the Black and homeless, before pushing that same tired lie. There is no reforming a system that operates on New Afrikan death. We will live and die in these conditions, or we will live and die winning our shared liberation.

Cornelius Taylor. Say his name!

Young Boricuas — forced to leave in search of jobs — are exploited as cheap labor here in the states, all while millionaires move to Puerto Rico in droves. Outages, poverty, and migration are symptoms; colonialism is the illness. The independence movement, historically suppressed but rapidly growing, is the cure. A nation without self determination is a nation denied freedom, and Puerto Ricans have been enslaved for too long.

Why does Puerto Rico experience so many blackouts in the first place?

The “Commonwealth of Puerto Rico” has no sovereignty. Unlike the mainland, which pretends to be a democracy, Puerto Rico is controlled by Congress’ “plenary” powers. As a territory, they receive less federal funding than the states. Congress has never used its total control over Puerto Rico to meaningfully invest in the island’s economy. They have always treated Puerto Rico like an imperial colony, temporarily installing American companies and paying Puerto Rican workers lower wages than anywhere on the mainland.

The official excuse for why Puerto Rico cannot fix its power grid is that the island is in tremendous debt. This debt crisis can be traced back to a series of U.S. Congressional incursions on behalf of U.S. capital. Since the early 20th century, they have made Puerto Rico into a tax haven for U.S. investors and corporations. They transformed the agrarian economy into an industrial one, displacing hundreds of thousands of people in the process.

Operation Bootstrap, which began after World War 2, paints a brutal picture of colonialism on the island. Corporate taxes were eliminated to entice Yankee business. Meanwhile, wages were kept lower than anywhere on the mainland and unionism was suppressed. The colonial capitalists were making themselves a heaven on Earth, while the situation for Puerto Ricans only became more hellish. The farming economy was destroyed faster than advanced industry could be built, and the island became plagued by unemployment. Those who could find a job in the new factories enjoyed improved living standards, but there weren’t nearly enough for everyone. Almost 500,000 Puerto Ricans had to migrate to the U.S. in the 1950s in search of a wage. Whether they were kept on the island or sent to a foreign land, Operation Bootstrap was a corporate scheme to trap nationally oppressed Puerto Ricans into more advanced forms of wage slavery.

In a testament to the compromised insular government, their first governor Luis Muñoz Marín supported the federal government in blaming mass unemployment on Puerto Rican overpopulation. According to these traitors, Puerto Ricans had too many children, and needed to have less. By 1969, 35% of all child-bearing women had been sterilized. La Operación, they called it.

“The so-called insular government is only a corporation organized by the Congress of the United States.” Pedro Albizu Campos, President, National Party of Puerto Rico, 1950.

More recently in 2016, President Barack Obama completely took over Puerto Rico’s financial policy and placed it in the control of an unelected, seven member council of finance goons known as La Junta. Eight years later, they are still gutting Puerto Rico’s social safety net, cutting social programs, and leaving the power grid to rust. La Junta represents the interests of Congress, the White House, and USian business. There is not even the illusion of equality in the relationship between the U.S. and Puerto Rico; between an empire and its colony. It is one nation exploiting another at every turn.

Nearly 3,000 people died in the man-made catastrophe that followed Hurricane Maria in 2017. Only a few dozen perished in the storm itself. Thousands were killed over the following months as power was knocked out and clean water disappeared. The destroyed health care system was unable to prevent the spread of infectious disease, especially among the poor and the elderly. The people sacrificed on the altar of colonialism died in agony while imperial masters blocked relief from coming in.

As is often the case under capitalism, where the colonized and working classes face complete devastation, the owning class found fresh opportunities for new business. La Junta, on behalf of the U.S. capitalists, used Hurricane Maria to privatize the power grid. Without consulting the people, the Board created an energy contract for private companies Luma and Genera, companies based in the U.S. and its junior imperialist partner Canada. The move transfers money from Puerto Rico’s tax base off of the island directly into the hands of Yankee capitalists. Privatization was marketed as a way to stop blackouts and eventually modernize the power grid. Seven years later, all that has changed are the monthly bills, which are nearly 50% more expensive than in 2017.

According to Luma, the massive New Year’s blackout was caused by a single underground electric cable. The cable was so old and outdated that the company which manufactured it closed 28 years ago. A perfect microcosm of the overall power grid! Lights turned off around dawn on Tuesday, December 31 and stayed out all day and night, the only power available coming from diesel generators for the minority who could afford them. Most Puerto Ricans celebrated the New Year by candlelight. Power was eventually restored to 98% of customers by Wednesday afternoon, January 1, the blackout lasting a little over a day. Each blackout triggers more and more anger against Luma. The new Trump-supporting governor has already threatened to replace them. The company is performing so poorly that everyone, including the people who first supported privatization, are being forced to acknowledge its failure.

These corporate planners had Puerto Rico in an artificial economic bubble. Local Puerto Rican businesses had no way to compete with these tax incentives. The island’s economy would face destruction if the U.S. businesses left or if there was an economic downturn. This is what happened when the economy went into recession in 2006. Puerto Rico was in a debt snowball at this point; they were borrowing money just to pay the bills. Wall Street investors continued to push these loans even after it became obvious the government was going bankrupt. Puerto Ricans themselves were targeted by these predatory bonds. When the bond market finally crashed, hundreds of millions of dollars in Puerto Rican wealth disappeared overnight. The banks got away not just scot free, but rich. Puerto Ricans are footing the bill to this day. They are at the mercy of La Junta. Targeted by Wall Street hedge funds, they are paying off their government’s debt with the dilapidation of their power grid and hospitals. Mass displacement is the other half of this crime against the Puerto Rican people. As the island is gutted from the inside, the occupier lures Puerto Ricans with the chance of employment on the mainland. Between 2010 and 2020 alone, over 10% of Puerto Ricans have moved to the states. They survive on the farms, in the cities, but their heart stays in Puerto Rico.

The strength of the Puerto Rican nation lies in the unity of its people. In both the mainland and the colony, Puerto Ricans share the same oppressor. But Puerto Ricans will not defeat the Yankee Empire on their own. Full unity with the other oppressed nations — Black, Hawaiian, and other Native nations — is also required.

Puerto Rico will never be free in the subservient role of territory or state. Puerto Rico will only prosper, will only know freedom, as an economically and politically sovereign nation. Full support to a self-determined Puerto Rico, on both the mainland and the island! Unity with the nationally oppressed! Remember the Cry of Lares: ¡Libertad o muerte! ¡Viva Puerto Rico libre!

What began as mass protest against Palestinian genocide was mangled into yet another voting funnel for the Blue Fascist party. Uncommitted's downfall provides a valuable lesson: “independent” movements will inevitably be hijacked by opportunists when they operate within bourgeois elections.

After facing a humiliation ritual at the 2024 DNC, Democratic strategists within the Uncommitted National Movement co-opted the group’s platform to implicitly endorse Kamala Harris. Immediate backlash from actually uncommitted members led to a split in the movement, with the new “Uncommitted Grassroots” endorsing a third party vote. What began as mass protest against Palestinian genocide was mangled into yet another voting funnel for the Blue Fascist party. Uncommitted’s downfall provides a valuable lesson: “independent” movements will inevitably be hijacked by opportunists when they operate within bourgeois elections.

In protest of the increasingly blatant genocidal and anti-democratic nature of the party, over 700,000 Democratic voters had selected “Uncommitted” during the 2024 DNC primary election. Only around half of states even permit a selection of “Uncommitted;” had every state allowed the option, millions more people would have done so. Before “Uncommitted,” the movement began with a campaign named “Listen to Michigan,” cofounded by Layla Elabed and Abbas Alawieh. Both are career Democratic strategists. Over a series of weeks, they organized a Get Out the Vote Campaign which won over 100,000 Uncommitted votes. The mass campaign spread across the empire, and on March 18, Listen to Michigan launched the Uncommitted National Movement — founded on the goal of achieving a ceasefire in Palestine. Anyone with experience in electoral politics should have predicted what would happen next. Absolutely nothing was done to quell the zionists’ extermination campaign, but the Democrats in power changed their tone. They would voice their “concern” over a massacre while sending the bombs to carry out the next one. Abbas Alawieh claimed the Party was engaging in serious dialogue with Uncommitted despite none of the group’s demands being met or even taken seriously. Notably, Uncommitted never explicitly threatened to use their leverage against the Democrats. Not only did the party call their bluff, but they pivoted even further rightwards. More so than Biden, Harris’ campaign explicitly courted Republicans, moderates, and subhumans like Dick Cheney. Every night of the Democratic Convention featured Republican speakers. A pre-vetted, no doubt tamed speech from a single Palestinian, however, was too much to ask. While the representatives of Uncommitted were shunned inside the convention, protesters outside the convention hall were mocked as they read the names of murdered babies. The convention was a celebration of “lethal force” against Palestinian children: a spectacle of blood and death.

No amount of humiliation or open duplicity from Blue Fascists would stop the unelected leaders of Uncommitted from fulfilling their original goal: saving the Democratic Party from defeat in November. On September 19th, they released a slimy statement implicitly endorsing Kamala Harris. Only an experienced Democratic operative could have written this statement. Instead of officially endorsing Harris, they told their members to “vote against Trump.” They also warned against voting for any third parties. If this sounds to you like it is telling you to vote for Harris, you have a keen ear! Everyone should understand by now that her victory would have done nothing to save Palestinian lives. Of course Trump is not going to bring peace to West Asia, but neither would Harris. The only thing her election would have done is lend legitimacy to the continuation of Democrat-led war crimes.

The problem with Uncommitted National is not that they accepted money from a Democrat aligned SuperPac. The problem is that they completely misunderstand how to use their (now dissipated) political leverage. Their “pressure” never extended past begging Democrats to grow a conscience. Those sending the bombs do not — will never — cede their commitment to a genocidal outpost of imperialism. But Abbas Alawieh and Layla Elabed do not seem to get this; they continue to hold on to the deluded belief that the Democratic Party can be pushed by the voters to do anything that isn’t in full service of the bourgeoisie. In hindsight (or should we say foresight), the material purpose of Uncommitted should have been to prove that Democrats are not subject to proletarian pressure. The party cannot change.

One also has to question how many “Uncommitted” voters were registered to vote by Uncommitted during the primary season. Their website confirms: “we are registering people who have never voted to participate in politics, collectively, and we’re not done just yet.” For them to register young voters radicalized by the genocide, then tell them to vote for the genocidal Democrat eight months later is a textbook example of counterinsurgency.

When it comes to mass election campaigns, the general election functions like a bear trap covered in honey. Radicalized people are led into this trap, transfixed by sweet sounding “serious” dialogue. Once you are stuck in the election’s claws, you can enjoy the honey for as long as it lasts. But when it inevitably dries up, you remain stuck in the same place, left to starve or eat through your own foot. This is voting in the empire. Between bleeding out and starving to death, committing yourself to the bourgeois hunting match will do nothing to improve your — and definitely not Palestine’s — condition.

The correct course of action is to avoid the election trap altogether, and to help your friends and family escape it, too. The people setting these traps are out there. They don’t hide who they are. Your comrades are out there too. Many are still hidden in between the trees, but you can spot them if you look closely enough. Join them, and watch out for traps along the way.

When the transition to renewable energy is conceived in fighting words, the losing population resolves to suffocate on car exhaust.

Western oil barons at B.P. have scrapped their pledge to decrease oil and gas production 40% by 2030. Fellow mafiosos Shell and ExxonMobil joined in the revelry by dropping their renewable energy programs in favor of new investments in oil and gas. Climate fascism is here, and these are its masters.

Greenwashing occurs in cycles. In 2002, British Petroleum tried marketing their acronym as “Beyond Petroleum.” The campaign fell apart after the company caused one of the largest oil spills in Alaska’s history in 2006. Four years later, they caused the biggest marine oil spill in history. Fourteen years after Deepwater Horizon, scientists are unsure how B.P.’s catastrophe has affected diversity in the Gulf of Mexico.

“Net zero by 2050” is the latest greenwashing fraud. On one hand, these plans would be too little, too late in averting a scenario in which millions of people are killed by climate-induced famine, natural disasters, and war. On the other hand, there is every reason to believe “Net Zero by 2050” is nothing more than a pipedream; a slogan to buy time and maximize profits. 2030 was supposed to be an interim deadline on the path to Net Zero by 2050. They haven’t enacted a single step, yet they expect us to believe a stairway to heaven is arriving any day now…

B.P. announced in 2020 that it would cut oil and gas production by 35-40% in just 10 years. Shareholders, feeling this would impede short term betting on the gears of capital, moved shares into B.P. competitors like Chevron and ExxonMobil. Their stock prices increased by 46% and 57%, while B.P.’s fell 10% by December 2022. B.P. knelt in shame and begged investors for forgiveness by watering down the target from 40% to 20-30%. That was in 2023. One and a half years later, they are abandoning the project entirely. As reports of their capitulation emerge, the plan which connects the 2030 deadline to “Net-Zero by 2050” sits in embarrassment on B.P’s website. Investors prefer the straight talking social murderers at Shell, who pledged to increase gas output and keep oil production consistent. Investors will continue to prefer this direct commitment to fossil fuels as long as they make for higher profits than renewable energy, which will be the case as long as all our machines and weapons depend on hydrocarbon production. Clearly, the free market solution to climate change is a sham. Producing oil is simply more profitable than saving the planet.

The free market can offer nothing except climate fascism; maximized corporate profits in the face of an existential societal crisis. Deteriorating public entities replaced by a continuous investment into the empire-encompassing Cop City. The federal government’s responses — if they can be called that — to hurricanes Helene and Milton give us a hint of a taste into what lies ahead. There is a light at the end of this tunnel, but it requires us to crawl just a little further. For there is a specter haunting American energy; the specter of communism.

America has lost the “war” for renewable energy to China. As America renews its commitment to fossil fuels, the Communist Party of China has asserted itself as the world leader in renewable energy. It is silly to phrase what should be a collaborative, global effort in terms of conflict, but this is the only language America understands. The empire is incapable of cooperating on climate change because the capitalists running the show will never permit a foreign country to compete with American interests. To be clear, “American interests” do not include the shared desire to live on a habitable planet. As we observed, only short term speculation has a seat at this table. When the transition to renewable energy is conceived in fighting words, the losing population resolves to suffocate on car exhaust.

China has made historic advancements in renewable energy implementation. While B.P. was abandoning its 2030 environmental commitments, China surpassed its 2030 target for wind and solar installations by six years. Today, fossil fuels make up less than half of China’s installed power capacity. One decade ago, that fraction was two thirds. Whereas America is restricted from this transition by the undead hand of the stock market, China controls its state-owned oil companies in the interests of the Chinese people. American propaganda against China used to focus on air quality in Chinese urban centers, depicting masked workers traipsing through a yellow haze. Since Xi Jinping took office in 2012, air quality has improved considerably in Chinese cities. American attempts to blame China for the climate crisis have never sounded more hollow, especially as the regime does everything it can to prevent Chinese technology from entering the market. For example, nothing scares the American auto industry more than the thought of affordable, electric, Chinese vehicles on American roads. They make Elon Musk look like the coddled charlatan that he is. This soiling of pants extends to all vehicle manufacturers, and even the oil barons. An affordable, electric vehicle would resemble a death knell for our fossilized transportation system. They want your car to produce toxic chemicals because it makes them money. This is why the regime just announced a 100% tariff rate on Chinese electric vehicles. They use typical “national security” concerns to cover for industry. Ever eager to please its master, the European Union followed suit. They are all terrified of the communist economic system. They should be.

China is not going to liberate the imperial core from climate fascism. Their plate is full, so to speak, with liberating the oppressed regions of the world from Western economic bondage. Even when China releases planet-saving technology to the Western world, America and its lackeys use tariffs to block the masses from sharing in this collective human achievement. Organizing in the imperial core has always been difficult due to a relatively high standard of living enjoyed by the American masses. Climate change throws a wrench into previous calculations where comfort was always chosen over morals. Traditional bribes are less compelling when they come with a miserable existence under climate fascism. Even for those in the Core who would sacrifice the international masses for their own comfort, climate fascists will not save them. Let it be known: Communism or Extinction is the only reasonable policy. No fantasies, no stairways to Heaven. Climate fascism has arrived, and only a hammer of organization will bring it to its knees. Organize like your life depends on it, because it actually does.

Forest Park Deputy Police Chief Christopher Chin referred to Labor Day’s quadruple homicide as an “isolated incident.” There is nothing isolated about violence and dehumanization of unsheltered people.

Most of us woke up to a day off work this Labor Day. Margaret Miller, 64, Simeon Bihesi, 28, Adrian Collins, 60, and one other elderly gentleman didn’t wake up at all. They were shot dead in their sleep around 5:30 AM on the Chicago Blue Line. All were lacking shelter, each sought refuge on the train. None were spared.

Life for unsheltered people is deliberately enforced hell. Private property rights criminalize their existence in virtually every space. Recent waves of anti-homeless statutes have criminalized homelessness across entire municipalities. When homelessness is criminalized everywhere, the only place left for unsheltered people to go is jail. The Supreme Court of the United States not only recognizes but approves of this state of affairs. This summer, the Court affirmed laws which criminalized sleeping in public spaces. Saddling the unsheltered with fines and criminal records will of course make it harder for an unhoused person to secure housing, but overt fascism can give no breathing room for these basic considerations. The pipeline from unemployment to jail is streamlined like never before.

What’s more, rampant criminalization gives license to those who would commit violence against unhoused people. Criminalization breeds dehumanization. In 2019, Randy Santos murdered four unsheltered people with a pipe as they slept in doorways and sidewalks in New York City. This is a process of dehumanization that comes directly from the bourgeois state. State governments encourage petit-bourgeois residents to see the unsheltered as something other, creatures to be feared, rather than people to be helped.

Unhoused people often shelter on public transportation. This is what Margaret, Simeon, Adrian, and the other elderly person were doing last Sunday night when they boarded Chicago’s Blue Line, one of only two lines that run 24 hours. They bothered no one as they slept peacefully on the dusty train seats. Surveillance footage shows a masked individual executing all four at point blank range shortly before 5:30 AM. They were shot as the train rolled into the Forest Park, Illinois terminal. Margaret was shot in the head and killed instantly. Simeon and the unnamed person died of multiple gunshots. Adrian, who was shot in the abdomen, was rushed to a hospital but did not survive. Police have charged Rhianni Davis, a 30 year old Chicago resident who previously worked as a security guard, with the murders. He was arrested the same morning on another train with a 9mm Glock 43. Investigators claim Davis is a forensic match to the six shell casings found at the scene. There is no established motive.

Capitalism requires the constant generation of a relative surplus population to sustain the law of supply and demand of labor. Homelessness is not a crisis in America, it is a permanent and obligatory byproduct of our economic system. The number of unsheltered spikes during economic recessions. Regularly occurring economic crises are another absolute general law of capitalist accumulation. These crises become more disastrous in tandem with economic development. Capitalist regimes have developed various welfare systems to hamper revolutionary attitudes in times of crisis. Welfare systems are funded with the spoils of imperialist loot taken from oppressed nations, such as the shiploads of oil and natural gas stolen from Iraq and Syria. America’s welfare system has always been a poor cousin to its Western peers, but it faces little pushback from both the labor movement and a collaborationist “communist” party. The recession of 1973-1975 was not treated with the welfare band-aid. Instead, federal housing budgets were slashed, social service agencies were gutted, and the pace of deindustrialization picked up. This led to what is sometimes labeled the modern era of homelessness. Since homelessness has always existed, will always exist, must always exist under capitalism, the defining features of this modern era are increased visibility of the unhoused, abdication of the welfare state facade, and the barbaric labor discipline of anti-homeless laws.

Forest Park Deputy Police Chief Christopher Chin referred to Labor Day’s quadruple homicide as an “isolated incident.” There is nothing isolated about violence and dehumanization of unsheltered people. It all stems from “the bloody legislation against vagabondage” under which the unemployed are “whipped, branded, and tortured by grotesquely terroristic laws into accepting the discipline necessary for the system of wage-labor.” Horrendous attacks like that which occurred last Monday will only increase in occurrence as the empire continues its clay-footed march into fascism. Margaret Miller, Simeon Bihesi, Adrian Collins, and the other gentleman did not deserve to die. It is up to the advanced workers to develop the organizations — with discipline and Marxist-Leninist education — that will defend the unhoused masses from fascist violence.

The settler state is once again demonstrating that it does not recognize Indigenous sovereignty in any meaningful sense. They will make any exceptions they need to to ensure they can continue to pillage tribal lands.

On July 30, 2024, mining company Energy Fuel Resources smuggled two trucks carrying uranium ore across the Navajo border and through Navajo land. Navajo President Buu Nygren attempted to stop these trucks with the Navajo Police Force, but the fugitives ultimately escaped. Tribal members in the area are protesting and demanding the mine be shut down.

The Navajo, Havasupai, and Ute Nations are being poisoned. Toxic uranium saturates their land, drinking water, and homes. Southwestern indigenous tribes lived on top of uranium deposits for centuries without issue. They called it leetso, or “yellow dirt.” Cancer rates in this area were so low that some believed the Navajo were immune. This changed in the 1940s, when the federal government pledged to commit a nuclear holocaust against Japanese civilians. Since then, over 40,000 tons of uranium ore have been extracted from their land with no concern for the Indigenous miners or their families. The Navajo language had no word for “radiation” or “cancer” at the time. They didn’t know what the mines would do to their people, and they were desperate for a source of income. The federal government and mining companies knew.

The trucks traveled from Pinyon Plain Mine (formerly Canyon Mine), which is controversially located on Havasupai territory. The mine sits in the foreground of the Havasupai’s sacred mountain, Red Butte, and over several important aquifers. These were the first trucks sent from the mine since it began operation in December 2023. They were set to follow a 300 mile route to the White Mesa uranium mill in southern Utah. The Navajo outlawed uranium transport in 2012 due to its horrifying legacy of radiation sickness and cancer in the Navajo nation.

Alas, the federal government does not recognize Indigenous sovereignty in any meaningful sense. Indigenous nations are technically allowed to write laws concerning their internal affairs, but exceptions are made when a law could interfere with pillaging tribal lands. In the case of uranium transport, the statute exempts state and federal highways on Navajo lands which Energy Fuels Resources, the company contracted to mine and transport the radioactive material, has designated as hauling routes between their mine and processing mill. While the company is allowed to travel in the eyes of the American government, President Nygren has promised to set up roadblocks against any additional trucks. He demands an agreement that requires Energy Fuels to provide ten days notice before shipping uranium so that the Navajo nation can take safety precautions and inform the community. The Navajo nation is generally opposed to any movement of uranium through its land, but they are willing to let the ore through if given proper notice, which was not the case here. The Navajo nation only learned of the trucks because the Forest Service relayed the message that same morning.

On August 2, First Lady Jasmine Blackwater-Nygren led a rally and march with Navajo, Havasupai, Hopi, and Fort Mojave nation members. They marched up the hauling route as Grand Canyon tourists drove by in the opposite direction. Many honked in support. Energy Fuels Resources has since agreed to pause uranium hauling until an agreement can be reached with the Navajo nation. It is in Energy Fuel’s best interest to cooperate, given new research that suggests the mine will contaminate the Havasupai’s drinking water. A temporary pause in shipments would be a small price for Energy Fuels to pay if they can continue exploiting the sacred Ancestral Footprints Monument. Genocide Joe Biden and Killer Kamala Harris ironically designated this area as a national monument in August, 2023, but since the Pinyon Plain mine was approved in 1986, it escapes regulation. Thanks for nothing, Joe and Kamala!

The Navajo nation’s promise to block uranium shipments is a test of Indigenous sovereignty over its borders. The federal government has their dirty fingerprints all over Indigenous statutes. Indigenous nations are often referred to as semi- sovereign, but “semi- sovereign” will always remain a shallow and disingenuous concept under the settler colonial relation. So-called limited sovereignty is reduced or annihilated at any moment the settler government chooses. Congress can terminate the existence of Indigenous nations at any time, like it did in 1953 when hundreds of thousands of indigenous were relocated to American cities for cheap labor. The Supreme Court will continue to affirm Congressional fiat over Indigenous nations. Limited sovereignty has a clearly defined ceiling, but no floor. These are the scars of oppressed nations entitled to full control over their peoples, resources, and destinies.

Protests against Energy Fuels Resources are set to continue. Another 100 indigenous people marched along the haul route on Saturday, August 24th. The next march is scheduled for October 12th against the company’s processing mill. Energy Fuels Resources must face consequences after poisoning Havasupai and Ute Tribal members. Organized Indigenous nations pose an inherent threat to the status quo of settler domination. The settler regime will only pretend to recognize sovereignty for so long. Force Congress to exert its veto power so that all may see the zombified corpse that is limited sovereignty.

On July 6, 2024, the pigs murdered Sonya Massey in her home.

Fool us once; shame on you. Fool us twice, thrice, quadrice… shame on us.

Sonya Massey is dead. She was killed on July 6 by the police state, in the form of white supremacist Sheriff’s deputy Sean Grayson. Her murder should elicit rage, but you have no reason to protest this time according to Democrats. The pig was immediately disavowed, fired and charged with first degree murder. Just a Bad Apple. The criminal justice system is working exactly as intended for Democrats and everyone else who accepts Black People’s murder as a regular occurrence.

Benjamin Crump, the celebrity-attorney representing Massey’s family, has already stooped so low as to thank presidential candidate Kamala Harris for a tweet promoting the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act, which failed to pass in 2021. The Act itself is an embarrassing half-measure that would do little to reduce the ever-increasing number of people shot, strangled, or run down by the statesian police. More embarrassing is the fact that Vice-President Harris and her fellow Democrat stooges completely dropped the issue after they failed three years ago. Sonya Massey’s execution was horrific enough to inject some life into the Democratic Party’s decrepit lip service machine. The machine produces words, but it runs on continuous supplies of blood from oppressed communities in the imperial core. Not just any blood tribute will suffice; only the most barbaric case of murder you can imagine will awaken the beast and get its mouthpieces to work their magic.

Sonya Massey did exactly what the pigs told her to do before they shot her in the face. She called the Police after hearing people outside her home, but responding officers were immediately hostile towards her after it took 3 minutes and 50 seconds for Massey to open the door at 1 in the morning. Out of concern for an unidentified car in Massey’s driveway, police entered her home and demanded identification. Hearing the sound of water approaching boiling temperature, officers directed her to remove the pot which was on the stove. Massey immediately did so and moved to place the pot near the sink. The officer, seemingly afraid of the boiling water, backed away despite the distance between him and Massey as well as the impending kitchen island. Massey’s response to the officer’s behavior was either a joke or a comment of offense towards the officer’s implication she might hurl a hot pot of water across her living room. She said, “I rebuke you in the name of Jesus.” We will never know exactly what she meant, because immediately after saying these words Sean Grayson pulled a gun and pointed it at Massey’s head. He told her, “I’ll fucking shoot you in the fucking face” and approached the pot which he supposedly felt could threaten his life at any moment. Terrified, Massey apologized for the comment and tried ducking away from the gun that was now in her face. She could not outrun three bullets. Before the water had cooled, Grayson was making excuses and calling Sonya Massey a “crazy bitch.” The only mistake Sonya Massey made was thinking the pigs were coming to help her that night. Grayson’s mugshot would soon expose skull tattoos on his right arm which resemble the Nazi Totenkopf, or “Dead’s Head.”

Democrat opportunists were quick to gloat the captured moments of savagery as proof of the success of police worn body cameras. Do not let them get away with it! Such ridiculous claims should be met with ridicule and derision. Do not forget that police officers and prosecutors across the empire wanted body cameras for years. It might seem paradoxical, but law enforcement had everything to gain and nothing to lose from their introduction. The police killing of Michael Brown was a perfect opportunity for the pigs and reformers, led by Obama, to reveal their collaborationist nature. While the cameras were pitched as a solution to police violence, they were nothing but the latest iteration of modern police surveillance. We know this to be true because according to the Federal government‘s own studies, body cameras do not make police less violent. Their own studies prove this, along with the continued rise of police killings since their introduction. Body cameras continue to be successful in their intended purpose; prosecuting the poor and surveilling the masses. They are a regular tool in the prosecutor’s office when it comes to gathering evidence against impoverished people, but are rarely used against the police. Cops will deliberately turn off their cameras before an interaction in case they decide to brutalize or shoot anyone. Crucially, the police get first looks at controversial body cams and will restrict the release of footage until they can permeate a false, exonerating narrative into the ether. This is precisely what Illinois State Police did to Sonya Massey. They shot her and lied for over two weeks, describing her death by white supremacist bullets as self-inflicted. Such is the beauty of police reform.

Be wary! They will not hesitate to use this moment for their own despicable ends. They will trot out some cowardly guidelines on New and Improved hiring practices for police departments across the Empire. They will demand millions of dollars in new funding packages for flashy training programs while the masses continue to sink into deprivation. Grayson will become a Christ figure for cops — given up for the sins of the system so that Democrats can declare it washed clean. They will pat each other on the back for being so transparent, go home to their respective galas, and tell their servants what they want for dinner that night. We need to ruin their party. Let the murder of Sonya Massey anger you. May it flow through your veins, into your arms and legs. She called them for help, they entered her home and shot bullets into her skull. Carry it with you on the bus, at the office, and on the commute home. Steel yourself for the fight ahead, and do not vote for cops.
