You need to issue a retraction immediately. Mischaracterizing my work by saying it's individualistic to understand your local ecosystem and gain the skills to feed people is just ridiculous. Correct this.
A few more points. You are agriculturally illiterate which is why you're publishing this at prime planting season when zero farmers have the time for a discourse. You should delete this entire article and work on it until after harvest time. Maybe try including your own modern sources instead of just dunking on mine. (Calling UFW inadequate while their organizers are being targeted by ICE is not comradely behavior, do better)
You are speaking from an incredibly privileged position that assumes there will always be cheap, plentiful food in stores when that's already not the case for a lot of people. Run those potato numbers for Palestine and get back to me. Our government is starving babies to death for the crime of being born in the wrong place, and you think you can challenge that government without knowing how to feed yourself? Your theory of change is a joke.
You do not have the authority to assign experts to manage centralized agriculture. You do not have the authority to order book clubs around. If you have any intentions of getting to that point you will need food. You do have the responsibility to become an expert on feeding yourself and your community. You can do what I did and ask people to learn more while giving them links or you can do what you're doing, pretending you're an aristocrat that will always have access to food who can order groups of strangers around. Do better.
